1. Activator
You are able to assign gestures and buttons to launch applications or perform different functions. You are able to assign any hardware key on your iPhone, for example the home button, to launch an application on a sequence, such as a double-press or a short-hold press. You can also assign your volume up- and down-buttons to skip to the next or previous track by short holding the buttons. It will still adjust volume, too.

Its easy to describe this application. It replaces written emoticons with picture smileys. Its unbelievable this feature is missing by default, but thats what the jailbreak is for.

All possible iPhone customization in one place! Make your iPhone look and feel how you want. Status bar, colors, animations, reflections and pretty much the whole interface. This is a must have application for every jailbroken iPhone!
8. ContactPrivacy
Don’t let companies use your contacts without asking you. Facebook and other applications were found to upload your contact list data to their servers without asking for permission. Protect your privacy, it doesn’t cost you anything.
9. VLC media player
VLC media player is one of the best players on the market. It plays all possible formats, including mp4 or m4v, which regular apple players can’t play by default. Avi, mpeg, xvid, you name it…and VLC plays them all for free!
